Triathlon at Pacific Grove
The sights and sounds of the Monterey Bay keep athletes coming back to this historic race. The entire course runs along the Ocean front recreation trail in Pacific Grove and is the perfect race for first timers and those that want to compete on a fun flat course. This spectator friendly course allows family and friends a chance to enjoy their favorite athleteson each part of the course, something almost unheard of in triathlon. The “Kelp Crawl” will test your swimming ability, the looped bike course will give you a chance to go full throttle and power your way into the final stretch by running along the scenic recreation trail down and back to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Festa Italia – 79th Annual Santa Rosalia Fisherman’s Festival
This year will mark the 79th annual Santa Rosalia Fisherman’s festival honoring the local fishermen of Monterey, past and present . It is a celebrated event with wonderful Italian food and drink and amazing entertainment. We thank all those who came out and celebrated the Italian heritage with us in the past and we invite all to take part in the sights, sounds, food and culture that make the Italian experience so very special. The “Blast From The Past” event will be the hottest car show of the year. Plus, if you fold in the most beautiful landscape in the world you can’t miss. The event will be held on the Wharf Waterfront parking lot, in Old Monterey, Old Town Salinas, Cannery Row and not to mention the poker run in Pacific Grove, Carmel Valley, and Pebble Beach. Bringing the Wharf waterfront into the event provides one of the most breathtaking locations in the world to showcase some of the most beautiful cars in the world. And it doesn’t stop there, the cruise, poker routes, Old Town Monterey, Cannery Row and Old Town Salinas activities have been chosen so that participants will have an opportunity to see the best the Peninsula has to offer.

Art in the Adobes is the 1st annual event to spotlight both the tradition of the adobes and the impressive art of this region. This important new cultural festival features treasured paintings, sculptures and some of the roots of Western U.S. art, rarely available for public viewing, on display in small thematic exhibitions, staged in historically significant buildings across a four-block area of scenic downtown Monterey.

Old Monterey Fine Art Festival

This outdoor festival will feature accomplished artists from throughout the Western United States presenting their original work in all medium of two and three dimensional fine art, including paintings in acrylic, oils and watercolors, photography, etchings, sculpture in clay, glass, metal, stone and wood. Each artist will be present to meet with the public and discuss their work. All work is available for purchase. The Festival will be located at the Transit Depot parking lot, at 451 Del Monte Avenue and Figueroa Street. Festival patrons will also be able to visit the many retail shops and fine restaurants at Fisherman’s Wharf. The hours of the event are from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.

Third Annual Pinotfest Beach Party

The third annual Pinotfest is being held from 6 to 10 pm at the newly renovated Del Monte Beach House in Monterey. There will be over 20 vintners offering tastings of their classic pinot noirs, with white and rose wines available as well. Along with one of the best views of the California coastline and superb wine tastings, there will be delicious tri-tip barbecue, beach party festivities, music, dancing, and a silent auction. The silent auction is made up of items donated by the participating vintners and various other businesses, with all proceeds of the auction going to Hope Center Monterey; a nonprofit food pantry whose mission is to provide people and pets in need with food.
